Cadiz

Earlier this week we took 2 friends to Cadiz. As Cadiz is on a peninsular and very congested we decided to go in on the train. We parked at a local shopping centre and got the train from there. The station was new and modern and so was the train. It cost 2.20 euros each for a return ticket for the 15 minute journey.
Cadiz was preparing for Carnaval, supposedly one of the best in Spain, and we all enjoyed strolling the narrow streets enjoying the atmosphere.
This is the first plaza you come to on leaving the station.
This is Cadiz Post Office which I think is quite spectacular. The plaza in front holds the flower market. After lunch we got the train back to the car. It was a hastle free way to visit the city.
